BLEEDING CONTROL KIT for the Lay Rescuer
HELLO MY FRIENDS,
I'll get right to the point here. In almost 100% of the time we are enjoying our fishing passion, we are located in rural or remote areas and from 15 minutes to several hours away from lifesaving 911 services. We are usually on a boat, in a kayak or canoe, hiking in the middle of nowhere with gear or a mile down the coast with a fishing cart
We all handle very sharp knives at least 10 to 15 times each time we fish, especially surf fishing.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I ACCIDENTLY JAB MYSELF WITH MY FISHING KNIVE AND CUT MY ARTERY. OOPS...
SOME STARTLING FACTS I LEARNED THAT MADE IT A LIFE SAVING CHOICE TO OFFER THIS PRODUCT FOR YOU.
What do I do? How long will it take for me to go into shock? How long does it take to bleed to death? Does my phone have reception to call 911? How long will it take 911 to find me? Let me give you some hard reality answers to those questions...
- What do I do? If you have no way to stop the bleeding you will probably be somewhere else shortly.
- How long will it take for 911 services to show up ? The national average from the time of a 911 call to arrival on scene is seven minutes in the city, but that time doubles to 14 minutes in rural areas, and around one in 10 encounters take 30 minutes, according to a 2017 JAMA study. Many sportsmen fish in rural, remote areas very far from life savings response times for an arterial bleed.
- A ruptured artery can cause a person to bleed out quickly if the trauma isn’t brought under control. When we refer to “bleeding out,” we’re specifically talking about death as a result of excessive, uncontrolled blood loss. Arterial bleeding is the most severe form of bleeding and consequently is the most common cause of bleeding out.
- So how much time does a person realistically have when this type of trauma occurs? Without immediate intervention, a person can bleed out from an artery in as little as 2 minutes. On average, the bleed-out time varies between 2 and 5 minutes, according to information from the STOP THE BLEED campaign.
- Trauma is the leading cause of death among Americans younger than 45, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). And bleeding out is the No. 1 reason why physical trauma becomes fatal. Hemorrhage is estimated to account for more than 60,000 deaths in the United States The human body just isn’t meant to withstand that kind of rapid blood loss.

EVERY KIT INCLUDES:
SAMXT Tourniquet - One of the major causes of failure in tourniquet application is insufficient constricting pressure on the initial application prior to turning the windlass. We also choose this tourniquet because it can be applied by yourself. Some others require a helper for proper installation to function correctly.
The SAM XT Tourniquet differs from other windlass tourniquets in that it features an auto-stop system that allows for instant tightening of the constricting band to the proper tension prior to engaging the windlass. This saves time and ensures effective occlusion of blood flow when pressure is applied with the windlass. SAMXT is CoTCCC recommended.
Innovative auto-lock technology activates locking prongs, eliminating slack typically found in all other tourniquet applications. Machined from extruded bars of strong, lightweight 6061-T6 true billet aluminum for consistent reliability when compared to plastic composites.
Velcro-dependent tourniquets can fail when wet or dirty. The all-weather Precision Strap is made of single-layer nylon webbing. It features intervaled holes that lock with the TRUFORCE™ Buckle to create a consistent, efficient primary security system. The secondary hook and loop system secures the remaining strap, adding stability and safety. Intuitive design allows for quicker, easier tourniquet application.
This is why this product is perfect for the entire fishing community both freshwater and saltwater.
6” Emergency Trauma Dressing - Engineered for swift response and optimal performance, this sterile pressure bandage is designed to deliver unparalleled pressure and absorption when every second counts.
Crafted with precision, our trauma dressing features a high-quality elastic wrap paired with a non-adherent pad, ensuring both comfort and effectiveness in managing wounds. Say goodbye to confusion with our intuitive hook & loop securing device, eliminating any hassle with pressure bars or hooks during application.
Designed for ease of use even in the most demanding circumstances, our trauma dressing's design prevents itself from unwinding if accidentally dropped, maintaining readiness at all times. Wrapped in durable vacuum-sealed packaging, the outer surface prominently features True Rescue's distinctive branding, facilitating quick recognition during emergencies. Additionally, visible rip tabs enable effortless opening, while detailed instructions are printed on the back for guidance.
NuStat Hemostatic Dressing - Use this as the first packing layer for bleeding wounds in any bodily area except the brain and eye. Hemostatic gauze accelerates the clotting process thanks to the use of hemostatic agents clotting fibers used in our NuStat Hemostatic Dressing.
Patented dual-fiber technology controls bleeding through absorption at the injury site, which results in a physical aggregation of blood cells and clotting factors. Compact packaging allows for convenient storage and rapid application. Packaged in a convenient vacuum packed pouch for easy recognition and ease of use.
Trauma Shears 71/4” These shears are used to cut away clothing from the wound site
Survival Blanket – This Survival Blanket is used to cover the injured person to prevent shock from blood loss.
Nitrile Gloves (2 pair) - Nitrile Gloves are powder free, retain excellent traction when wet, have a high tolerance to biohazards like blood, are considerably stronger than latex gloves and there is no risk of a latex-allergic reaction.
Permanent Marker – The permanent marker is used to records the time the tourniquet was applied so EMT responders can treat according.
Instruction Sheet – I highly recommend that you review your instruction sheet often. As you can see, if you are the victim or you are a lay person about to use your PREMIUM BLEEDING CONTROL KIT, TIME IS NOT YOUR BEST FRIEND...
