BLACK TIP SHARK FLAG

Black tip shark is named after black tip of the dorsal fin that can be seen when shark swims near the surface of the water.  Black tip shark usually lives near the coral reefs and in the shallow, coastal water.

It can be found in estuaries and brackish water occasionally.  Black tip sharks can reach up to 8 feet in length and 66 to 200 pounds in weight. Males are larger than females.
